Basic Syntactic Mutation

چکیده
We give a set of inference rules for E-uniication, similar to the inference rules for Syntactic Mutation. If the E is nitely saturated by paramodulation, then we can block certain terms from further inferences. Therefore, E-uniication is decidable in NP, as is also the case for Basic Narrowing. However, if we further restrict E, then our algorithm runs in quadratic time, whereas Basic Narrowing does not become polynomial, since it is still nondeterministic.

“IS That What You Mean?” Exploratory Study of Syntactic Pattern in Complement Responses
Complimenting behavior, as a common speech act of human beings, has become an intriguing topic in linguistics and its sub-branches. Compliment responses can be seen as solutions for maintaining a balance between (1) a preference to avoid self-praise and (2) a preference to accept or agree with the compliment (Pomerantz 1978). In the present study, the definition of a compliment draws on the wor...
متن کاملOn Forward Closure and the Finite Variant Property
Equational unification is an important research area with many applications, such as cryptographic protocol analysis. Unification modulo a convergent term rewrite system is undecidable, even with just a single rule. To identify decidable (and tractable) cases, two paradigms have been developed — Basic Syntactic Mutation [14] and the Finite Variant Property [6]. Inspired by the Basic Syntactic M...
متن کاملC26232T Mutation in Nsun7 Gene and Reduce Sperm Motility in Asthenoteratospermic Men
Reduced sperm quantity and motility are primary causes of infertility in men. Before researchers showed that, Nsun7 gene has roles in sperm motility of mouse, that creation defect in this gene is cause infertility. This gene in human located in chromosome 4, with 12 exons and a hot spot exon (exon7). Our aim is study of the mutations of the exon7 in the normospermic and asthenoteratospermic men...
متن کاملScreening of DFNB3 in Iranian families with autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss reveals a novel pathogenic mutation in the MyTh4 domain of the MYO15A gene in a linked family
Objective(s): Non-syndromic sensorineural hearing loss (NSHL) is a common disorder affecting approximately 1 in 500 newborns. This type of hearing loss is extremely heterogeneous and includes over 100 loci. Mutations in the GJB2 gene have been implicated in about half of autosomal recessive NSHL (ARNSHL) cases, making this the most common cause of ARNSHL. For the latter form of deafness, most f...
متن کاملDNA Sequence Fragment Containing C to A Mutation as a Convenient Mutation Standard for DHPLC Analysis
Objective(s): Denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC) is a high throughput approach for screening DNA sequence variations. To assess oven calibration, cartridge performance, buffer composition and stability, the WAVE Low and High Range Mutation Standards are employed to ensure reproducibility and accuracy of the chromatographic analysis. The purpose of this study was to provi...
